According to the survey, buildings are responsible for about 40% of the energy consumption and almost 30% of the anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions, which are owing to the use of lighting, air-conditioning, and heating. Due to environmental deterioration and energy shortage in human society, people pay more attention to finding effective energy efficient materials to reduce the energy consumption and greenhouse gas emission.
